Costumes
For my film poster Cedric is positioned on the the left of the image and is wherein similar cloths such as these. The black tie signifies intelligence and maturity, and this is reinforced by the black trousers and belt. Therefore, my target audience will expect my character Cedric to have the same personality and qualities.
Similar characters have been represented in other comedy films the same way:
Superbad (Fogull)
The Inbetweeners Movie (Will)
Furthermore, Cedric's casual clothes are beyond genuine and seem to contrast with my target audience's interests. Therefore, this signifies his exclusion to the general public in order to generate humour and character interests. For instance, the image below shows "Will" from 'The Inbetweeners Movie' in his genuine clothes in contrast with someone dressed similar to my target audience.
Will VS Seth
In conclusion, you can see that Will's clothing still has traits of maturity because his stripy, collared top is usually associated with mature people that have grown out of vibrant clothings. The stale jeans are also easy for me to get a hold of because they are common items of clothing everyone has. The boy on the right is a great depictation of my genuine character "Seth", who, like "Simon" from 'The Inbetweeners Movie' where's vibrant colours and exotic clothing my target audience can relate too and contrast with "Cedric" for contrast.
My Examples
Cedric
Cedric
Here you can see an image of myself and Conor Davies portraying a mature and well dressed student. Similarly too "Will" from 'The Inbetweeners Movie'. The tie signifies this intelligence whilst my hair is separated either side and looks unnatural in order to emphasise my different look on style in contrast too my target audience. Therefore, this is funny and will prove effective because my target audience will laugh at the unnatural appearance "Cedric" has throughout the trailer in contrast too the other characters.

Glasses are also associated with character types such as "Cedric", "Will" & "Fogull" because they sybolises intelligence and knowledge. Therefore, this suggests "Cedric" will be smart and act differently too the otehr characters. Personally, I feel glasses are easy to get a hold of because I where them daily, but I also have many spare ones too.
The motor vehicle is the most vital part of my film. Various shots are taken with the car and it plays a crucial part in the narrative since the film is about a "Road Trip". I own this exact car which has made my production so much easier mainly because cars are extremely expensive and usually associated with high budget films. Therefore, I feel the car will reinforce the narrative and create a great sense of excitement within the spectator when they see the use of a car has been used in the film poster and trailer.
Alcohol has a crucial part in my film trailer purely because it is basis of humour and a common convention of comedy films. It signifies a relation with the target audience because the hype of drink is associated with my target audience age group. In terms of collecting alcohol for my film trailer, fortunately one of my actors is 18 and is legal too buy it. However, in terms of the consequences of alcohol, there will be no relationship between the use of a car and alcohol on whilst filming. Furthermore, within the scene that alcohol is being consumed, the cans and bottle will be substituted with water or iron-bru because not all my actors are legal to drink it.
My Example
I have selected a range of different alcohol products from my house proving they are easily acquired in order to generate the same meaning they do in every comedy film; humour.
