Textual Analysis Conclusion

In conclusion, I have noticed a common trend in the use of colour schemes that suggest postive vibes and connotations throughout the film trailers. For example, The Inbetweeners Movie uses vibrant colours in order to portray the charecters personalitys and energy. Similarly to Superbad when the bubbly intertitles generate fun and excitment because all the colours such as yellow and light blue have postive connotations.

Furthermore, I have noticed a continuity in the use of charecters. For example, Will and Fogull both appear the same and maintain the same status at school and everyday life. Wheras, Jay and Seth portray themselves as immature, foolish boys that only care about woman and status of male dominance over the other charecters. Moreover, Simon and Evan convey a sense of awkwardness and evoke empathy with the audience as they are both genuine but unpredictiple at certain times.

Charecters have a huge importance on the narrative too. The main charecters always create a synario or a task which leads to a humourous prediciment within the trailers. Every other charecter that isn't as important create a tagent to the narrative but emphasise and contribute to the storyline of what the main charecters are doing.

Locations vary dramatically but both trialers seem to convey a school or local area of living that is sturdy and full of intertesting charecters. Furthermore, the change of enviroments can reinforce the narrative of the film and also create an enigma because the audience will want to know why they are there.

Overall, these are the main factors that make a comedy trailer effective, and editing pace works in unison with sound to emphasise the cinematorgraphy in the trialer. For instance, both films have very short durated shots supported by music that represents the theme. However, when the shots are longer, both trailers seem to cut out non-diegetic sound in order to emphasise the dialouge and humourous acitons on screen.
